Arc is the dominant onshore oil and gas producer in the state, and will soon start a major exploration drilling programme in the Canning basin targeting oil and gas. But any commercial discoveries in the Canning would require hundreds of kilometres of onshore pipeline to the domestic market, which is hungry for supplies.
Arc said today the discovery of commercially viable gas reserves in the Canning would have the potential to transform the domestic gas supply situation in the state.
