Co-venturer Premier Oil said the well is plugged and abandoned having seen some minor gas shows.
The well was drilled in water depths of more than 1300 metres using the drillship Discoverer 534 . Target depth was 3250 metres, said Premier.
The Anne-1 wildcat is located in frontier Block 2365-1 (Offshore Indus E), 150 kilometres south of Karachi.
The 7400 square-kilometre block was awarded to Shell in 1998, and was the country's first deep-water acreage to be awarded.
