Sukusen said Pertamina will provide US$11 million in funding for exploration activities in the block, which are expected to start in late 2008.
The total funding required for exploration activities in the block is estimated at US$47 million, he said.
A production sharing contract between the Pertamina and the Qatar government is expected to be signed next week, AFX newswire reported.
