The PNG Gas Project partners are ExxonMobil (39.4%), Oil Search (44.2%), AGL (10.0%), Nippon Oil Exploration (3.4%) and local company MRDC (3%).
Oil Search said in its latest quarterly that customer interest in buying gas from PNG remained high.
As a result, the partners are reviewing a revised pipeline development, comprising a staged construction that would deliver gas to Gove, Townsville and Gladstone gas in 2010, followed by a line to Mount Isa which would come on stream in 2012.
