Well partner Karoon Gas Australia revealed on Tuesday the Levitt-1 well in WA-482-P had reached a final depth of 4929 metres but failed to find any signs of hydrocarbons and will be plugged and abandoned.
It said that petrophysical analysis of logging while drilling data indicated that, while they had good reservoir quality, the target Legendre and North Rankin formations were water bearing at the well location.
