PSL said the two-year contract, for hydraulic workover and snubbing services, is its first significant well services contract in the Middle East.

The contract will cover well intervention programmes for more than 25 high pressure wells in north and south Oman in addition to a five-well fishing programme.

PSL managing director Doug Duguid said: "As our first well services contract in the Middle East it is hugely significant and should provide us with the platform to work with other major Gulf operating companies of PDO's stature."
