The Webtool EDT enables rapid cutting of umbilical multiple fluid transfer jumpers, electrical lines and tension wire in the event a dynamically-positioned surface vessel drifts off station, the company says.
The guillotine cutter can be used as an integral part of either a workover tool or dedicated emergency disconnect package. According to the manufacturer, the cutter provides lighter weight and quicker emergency disconnection than more complex multi-line stab plate systems.
