The Angolan state oil giant said the Zalophus-1 wildcat, which US independent Cobalt said almost two months ago was a “significant” gas and condensate find, has been deemed a commercial discovery.
Luanda-based Sonangol said the Kwanza basin well was drilled to 5210 metres, hitting 44 metres of liquids in the pre-salt, local news outlet Jornal de Angola reported this week.
