The firstwell at the Dunga 2 project has been brought into production at 7000 barrelsper day with another two wells to start flowing this week at the field in theMangistau region, about 50 kilometres from the Caspian Sea port of Aktau,Maersk said in a statement.
Theexisting Dunga field is already producing at an earlier reported rate of 10,000bpd and Maersk aims to boost output to 30,000 bpd in 2015 with production fromthe second phase - of which it will have a share of around 15,000 bpd - with198 wells to be drilled over the next three years.
