The early delivery of Hai yang Shi You 118 floater will enable CNOOC’s latest offshore field Enping 24-2 in the South China Sea to start production in October, as against the earlier timeline of December.
Classed by French classification society BV and China Classification Society, the double-hulled floater is designed to process 56,000 barrels of oil per day.
The 157,900-deadweight tonnage floater is the sixth delivered by DSIC.
