Norway’s Prosafe intends to scrap a further accommodation unit and could cancel a pair of recently acquired newbuilds if it fails to secure agreeable delivery terms with the Chinese fabrication yard.
The Oslo-listed flotel player has now decided to recycle the cold-stacked semi-submersible Safe Lancia, making it the fourth unit to be scrapped in the current cycle as it pares back its fleet exposure due to a market downturn after seeing vessel utilisation of only 43% last year.
