Australian junior Far Ltd has identified more than 1.5 million barrels of undrilled oil prospectivity across acreage it holds a stake in off the coast of Senegal.
Far’s share of the resources would total roughly 234 million barrels and comes after an independent resources report by Risc Operations covering the Rufisque, Sangomar and Sangomar Deep offshore blocks.
The report followed re-interpretation of Far’s existing 3D seismic data and new 2400 square kilometre 3D seismic acquired over the blocks.
