European chemicals player Ineos has hatched a deal to buy a raft of onshore acreage in the UK from French player Engie.
The emerging shale player has taken the entire onshore petroleum exploration and development licence (PEDL) portfolio in the country from Engie E&P UK, Ineos said on Thursday.
The acquisition, which has already been completed and the value of which was not disclosed, increased the total acreage held by Ineos under licence to more than 1.2
