Building on the success of farmers in Europe, US biogas producers are scraping up methane rich animal waste littering dairy barns and feedlots to transform it into pipeline-grade natural gas.

“We´ll never compete with conventional natural gas,”says Bradley Frazee, vice president and area manager for biofuels production at Intrepid.“But the (sector) is growing enough so that we believe we will be able to provide more natural gas to meet demand, especially here in Idaho.”
