The West Kruh-3 well is 500 metres east-south-east of the West Kruh-2A well, where Anzon discovered a new oil pool in December 2005.
West Kruh-3 was drilled to total depth but did not strike commercially significant hydrocarbons, so Anzon is sidetracking it towards the structurally higher Benakat reservoir which is producing in West Kruh-2A, said Anzon.
