The two were carrying out routine inspection work when the safety harness clipped to a lifeboat broke and they fell more than 100 feet, suffering fatal head injuries.Local sources named the dead as Valentine Girak and Gabriel Valley and said they had been taken to the Kemaman hospital where the post mortems will be performed.
“We are extremely saddened by the deaths of two crew members during the weekend aboard Ensco 104,” the rig contractor said.
