Tullow Oil is confident it has a standalone development candidate on its hands as it plans a first appraisal well in 2020 after this week confirming a discovery at the Jethro oil prospect off Guyana.
The Anglo-Irish independent is set to test the discovery on its operated Orinduik block as part of a 2020 work programme that is also likely to feature exploration drilling on other prospects.
