Tullow Oil’s Jethro discovery has likely opened up a new play off Guyana while also marking a welcome return to exploration success for the company after a long line of failures.
“Tullow has consistently presented Jethro as being Lower Tertiary... and described the prospect as being ‘along-trend’ with Hammerhead,” Westwood Global Energy Group analyst Jamie Collard said in a report after the discovery.
