The well, which was spudded on Friday, will be drilled to a total depth of 2168 metres and target estimated prospective resources of 175 billion cubic feet of recoverable gas in an Eocene reservoir as well as 44 million barrels of oil in a Cretaceous reservoir.
ADX added additional targets existed in the deeper Douleb and Bireno reservoirs which produce both oil and gas in the nearby Guebiba-El Hajeb field to the east.
