The redundancies, set to take effect from 1 April, will affect 180 employees within the company’s core business areas – engineering services, procurement and leadership – at its Bergen, Stavanger, Harstad and Stjordal locations in Norway.
The remaining 50 personnel to be laid off are drawn from across the operations of Stavanger-based Aibel, which had a total of 5700 staff in Norway before the job cuts, reported by local media, were announced this week.
