The Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering-built twin-hull unit is being renamed Pioneering Spirit, the company said on Monday.
Allseas had vowed on Friday to change the name of the ship after the previous name caused outrage among Jewish groups in Europe and led to the International Transport Workers' Federation (ITF) entering the fray.
The vessel was named after Pieter Schelte Heerema, the late father of Allseas president Edward Heerema.
