Woodside revealed on Monday it had shut-in production at its Pluto liquefied natural gas project when the Atwood Oceanics-owned rig drifted near flowlines after breaking several mooring lines during Cyclone Olwyn last week.

Atwood said on Tuesday the rig had moved to a location north-north-east of the Woodside gas line and was now clear of the 500-metre Woodside exclusion zone.

It added that a start-up crew had arrived onboard at about 1230pm local time and the rig would now be moved to protected waters near Dampier in Western Australia for repairs.
