Chairman Svein Rennemo, who has held the position since 2008, will step down on 1 July, with former ConocoPhillips chief Jim Mulva also departing after both decided not to stand for re-election to the board, Statoil said in a statement on Wednesday.
It follows the recent resignation of director Catherine Hughes due to a potential conflict of interest after she married BG’s chairman Andrew Gould, as well as another board member, Grace Reksten Skaugen.
