The Jakarta Post has reported that Indonesia’s Constitutional Court declared on Tuesday the existence of BPMigas was unconstitutional because it degraded state control over natural resources.
According to the newspaper, the court’s panel of judges found the regulator did not directly manage oil and gas assets but instead handed them over to state controlled companies or private companies through cooperation contracts.
