Opportunities offshore could range from the Sergipe-Alagoas basin down to the emerging exploratory hotspot of the Pelotas basin, said Magda Chambriard, director-general of Brazil’s National Petroleum Agency (ANP).
“We believe this is absolutely necessary because Brazil’s potential goes beyond the rounds we have already held and areas we have contracted,” Chambriard said at the opening ceremony at the Rio Oil & Gas trade show.
