Germany’s RWE Dea has secured the Dolphin Drilling-owned semi-submersible rig Bredford Dolphin to drill an appraisal well on the Titan discovery in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea next year.
RWE said the rig would be used to drill an appraisal well on Titan, in PL 420, towards the end of 2013 to confirm the size of the discovery.
The Titan discovery is believed to hold about 75.5
