The company said it had recently completed sea trials of the new AUV with Norway's Kongsberg Marine and had installed an "Advanced Survey Payload" enabling it undertake deep-water survey work.
C&C said it planned to use the C-Surveyor III, together with the C-Surveyor II, in the Gulf of Mexico.
The C-Surveyor III is capable of operating at depths of up to 4500 metres, and includes a multibeam echosounder, chirp sidescan sonar, chirp sub-bottom profiler and a methane detector, the company said.
