Horton brings to the table more than 30 years of experience in the natural gas and energy industry.
Before coming to Cheniere, Horton served as president and chief operating officer of Southern Union's CrossCountry Energy and Panhandle Energy.
He is also on the executive committee and the board for the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America.
Cheniere, which develops liquefied natural gas receiving terminals, reported a 20-cent rise in its shares to $66.15
