Chevron has cancelled its newbuild contract for a floater that was destined for the under-consideration Rosebank project off the UK, the South Korean shipyard has said.
Hyundai Heavy Industries revealed in a regulatory filing on Wednesday that the US supermajor had served notice of termination of the floating production, storage and offloading unit on 13 December.
Giving Chevron’s name, it also put the value of the original deal at 2.157
