The shale gas explorer said that its application to drill two wells in Nottinghamshire County was recommended for approval.
The planning application could see one well drilled vertically to a depth of 3500 metres and another drilled to a depth of 4350 metres at the site of a former Cold War missile launch site near Doncaster.
The company will await the councillors’ decision on this application on 5 October.
