CTC is to lay cables at the Anguille field off Gabon for the SBM in a deal the former would describe only as “a multi-million pound contract”.

The deal will see CTC use the Danish-owned 10,440-BHP pipelayer vessel Maersk Recorder for the transportation, installation and burial works at Total’s field.

The Maersk vessel will lay one 4 kilometre cable, including a 650 metre beach pull and cable joint, and will be assisted in laying 49 kilometres of power cable.

The
