Drydocks World will build the structure for SBM Offshore, which was awarded the engineering, procurement and construction contract for the FLNG Turret Mooring System last year by France’s Technip.
The turret will be about 30 metres in diameter and 90 metres in height, Drydocks World said, and will be part of a system that will allow the facility to resist prevailing weather conditions, including extreme Category 5 cyclone events.
