The accident killed two workers instantly. Six men, who were seriously injured, were taken to a local hospital where they later died of their injuries.
More than 100 workers from Construction Engineering Company of Shanghai Electrical Power were at the construction site when Tank Number 1 collapsed during the tank roof installation this morning, semi official China News Service reported.
The tank is scheduled for completion next month.
