The troubled joint venture between the subsea business of Ezra Holdings and Japan’s Chiyoda and Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha is in discussions over its financial obligations.

Ezra revealed the Emas Chiyoda Subsea joint venture had initiated discussions with “various parties” over the group’s financial obligations.

“The company is monitoring the situation and assessing the impact on the group,” Ezra said in a statement on Wednesday.
