Mayor Denis Coderre, the first presenter of the scheduled three-day hearing, walked out and said he and the Quebec Union of Municipalities would not participate on Monday but would consider returning on Tuesday.
Last week, Coderre demanded the hearing be suspended until more was known about discussions the NEB had with former Quebec Premier Jean Charest while he was a consultant with TransCanada.
