The proposed ExxoMobil takeover has received resounding approval by InterOil shareholders, however, the closing of the transaction requires a final order from the Supreme Court of Yukon - the court of general jurisdiction for the Canadian territory of Yukon.
The hearing was held on 27 September and the court is “considering the matter, including an objection filed by Phil Mulacek”, who led InterOil until he stepped down in 2013 and still owns company shares.
