Speaking earlier this week at the World Gas Conference in Paris, Gazprom’s deputy executive chairman Aleksandr Medvedev said though that its European counterparts "had not informed or consulted the company on the proposal" before it became public.
Gazprom will need to receive "documents related to the proposal" before making any decision on the issue, he added, as it is impossible to make the judgment based on the information available so far in the media.
