The IPD will be built in Zwijndrecht in The Netherlands and first oil from the De Ruyter is expected in the second half of 2006.

"We are pleased to announce the award of these milestone contracts to progress fabrication of the De Ruyter facilities," Petro-Canada country manager Reidar Hustoft said, adding: "With expected gross peak production of around 25,000 to 30,000 barrels per day in 2007, the De Ruyter development marks another step forward in building profitable growth through expanding and exploiting our existing portfolio."
