India is the third most attractive global destination for foreign direct investment, according to the United Nations Conference on Trade & Development, but in recent years it has struggled to attract industry heavyweights into its E&P arena.
Therefore, the government is putting in place transparent systems and creating a policy environment that is “predictable, transparent and fair”, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas joint secretary Neeraj Mittal told the Indian Ministerial Session at the 21st World Petroleum Congress.
