The 2.2 million hectare Habra Garhajis block, which encloses the basin of the same name, covers all of block SL 6 and parts of blocks SL 7 and SL 10, currently held by Petrosoma.
Formerly known as block 26, the area is subject to a production sharing agreement with the Somaliland government, Jacka said, with the Australian company to pay all of the third period minimum work programme under the agreement.
