Norwegian contractor Kvaerner has won a framework agreement from Statoil covering the Njord Future field development project, with compatriot Aker Solutions handed a subcontract.
Aker revealed on Monday that it will carry out work on Statoil’s proposed upgrade of the Njord A platform as a subcontract to Kvaerner.
Aker will initially deliver front end engineering design work, but noted the contract also included engineering work in the engineering, procurement and construction phase should the project go ahead.
