The company said on Thursday that it completed its Otakikpo-3 well, the second one on the Niger Delta field on oil mining lease (OML) 11.
With Otakikpo-3 complete, the company has four production strings ready for production, it said. Onshore facilities are complete while welding and installation work continues to progress on the offshore pipeline.
Lekoil now expects commercial production to begin at Otakikpo “in the next few weeks”, it said.
