The company hit 57 metres of net oil pay at the GY-667 well on the Goudron field, the fourth of 30 planned development wells there.
The well has been cased to 580 metres to isolate the Goudron sandstone where the find was made, as well as high-pressure gas intervals in the Upper Gros Morne formation.
LGO is now drilling ahead into the primary Gros Morne sandstone oil target, which is expected to be intersected at 664 metres.
