In an announcement to the Toronto Stock Exchange, LNG Energy chief executive Dave Afseth said the company’s Sling 2D seismic programme had identified the Tuyuwopi prospect, which he described as “very attractive”.
“Given the location and surrounding hydrocarbon production trends, we are very encouraged by this target and are developing our work programne around it,” he said.
“Additional leads have also been identified that will be further investigated.”
