Premier said it would plug and abandon its Biawak Besar-1x exploration well after the West Callisto rig drilled to a total depth of 5950 feet on the wellsite, in Indonesian waters east of peninsular Malaysia.
In a statement to the London Securities Exchange, Premier said the Miocene target was found as predicted by seismic testing and logs had showed better than expected sand quality.
