The company hopes to get the Ilha de Conceicao shipyard in Niteroi, across the bay from Rio, that it rented out in 2000 as soon as the middle of next year.
Current users Vard use it to build supply vessels, and the contract runs until December 2016, chief executive Gisela MacLaren said at Rio Oil & Gas.
The plan is to then convert it to FPSO work.
