Maersk, which last week saw its Maersk Valiant drillship charter dropped by Marathon Oil and ConocoPhillips, told the Texas Workforce Commission it would slash 122 jobs associated with the rig.
UPDATE: The affected employees report directly to Maersk Drilling USA's Houston-area office, according to a letter filed with the commission. They were notified on 28 July and will be employed for another two months.
