The system was shut down temporarily last week when work began. The work will included annual maintenance of mechanical components, as well as testing of the automation system.
The 1224-kilometre system is operated by a consortium led by Russia's Gazprom and including Dutch player Nederlandse Gasunie, French company Engie and German energy giants Wintershall and E.ON.
The system has a capacity of 55 million cubic metres per annum.
