The Federation of Oil Workers' Trade Unions and the Leaders' Union on the other hand did not accept an identical offer from OLF. Negotiations between these organisations will now be continued with the state chief arbitrator.
Nopef claims the union managed to prevent a deterioration in existing tariff agreements and describe the new deal as a moderate settlement.
The union also used the opportunity to retaliate at the government and Energy Minister Einar Steensnaes, who recently has voiced concern about the cost level on the Norwegian shelf, implying that offshore workers are too well-paid.
The
