Placido Mico Abogo, the main opposition candidate, has already said he will not accept the results, telling the BBC he believes the vote was rigged. Abogo gained just 3.6% of the vote in the oil-rich state.
Obiang gained 97% of the vote in the previous election, in 2002.
The release of the official results was delayed until this week to enable a recount.
